- Book 1 : The AlphaBookThis product is time-tested and highly-effective in teaching the letter names and sounds to young children. Designed with attention to educational psychology and neurology, this product uses simple, clean and crisp letters in black and white in one of the most child-friendly fonts, along with colorful pictures, to help learners remember the 26 letter names and their phonetic sounds. It is particularly helpful to children with poor memory or short attention spans. It's a back-to-basics book that allows the user to experience the joy of turning the pages of their own book. The happy-tuned audio file (non-professional) takes the place of a teacher when the child is practicing alone. Each audio file is conveniently available for quick download to any smart device using a QR code located at the end of the introductory pages. Great for individual or group work, listening centers or home school. This is the first in a series of three books in the ProPhonics series designed to systematically elevate reading skills.1
- Book 2: Sounding It OutThe Sounding it Out! Book is the second book in the ProPhonics series. This book takes the student to the next, exciting stage of reading--decoding words by ‘sounding them out’ or blending sounds together. The ability to hear that various phonetic sounds can be merged to produce a word-sound increases with language and brain development and usually becomes consolidated around the age of six years. However, it has been found that regular auditory blending practice (in children with adequate development) can contribute significantly to the learning of this skill. Therefore, many children younger than six have learned this skill and have become proficient at reading. The Pro Phonics Sounding it Out! book teaches the student how to use letter sounds to read two-, three-, four-letter and sight words with ease, taking him/her to the pre-primer, primer, grade one and grade 2 reading levels.1
- Book 3: Word DrillThe Word Drill book is the third in the series of ProPhonics readers. It takes the student from a grade 1-2 level of reading to grade 9, all in just about 30 pages of practice! The Word Drill covers consonant blends, vowel blends, digraphs, diphthongs, r-controlled vowels and much more. Each page teaches a particular phonics rule and then provides stimulating and interactive practice of words in which only that phonics rule is needed for correct decoding. This is followed by practice in reading a paragaph that skillfully incorporates those same words. Each reading requires skill in applying the last phonics rule taught, plus all the others before it. The book, therefore, progressively builds expert reading skills and prevents forgetting through constant application. The built-in QR audio of the ProPhonics teacher’s voice helps students stay on track and gain immediate feedback on their reading accuracy. With the Word Drill, your student will be reading well in no time! (The ProPhonics series is particularly applicable to Christian programs.)1
